A person with joy on his or her face early in the morning is a person looking forward to something. It doesn't matter whether that thing is out there somewhere or within.

The Lazy Tour Of Two Idle Apprentices was an account of Wilkie Collins' and Charles Dickens's escapades around Cumberland in 1857. Collins was portrayed as Mr. Idle (a born-and-bred idler) while Dickens was Mr. Goodchild (laboriously idle). The highlights of the journey include Mr. Idle's accident at Carrock Fell (a mountain) where he sprained his ankle. This accident caused Mr. Idle to reflect on the single cause of most his misfortunes in life - being deluded into activity and labour. This conclusion led him to believe being idle is the safest and best course of life for him. There was also the story of a man who caused the death of his bride and inherited all her property. He killed her secret admirer as well and buried him underneath a tree in his garden. Though he had wanted to sell the house before the murder, he decided not to. Connection by Kristine Klussman - Book Recommendation

Connection by Kristine Klussman is the kind of book you pick up when you are looking for answers to deep-rooted questions. Having read it twice, I can say that it is not for everyone, but it does have a few pointers that might be of immense benefit to some. Connection is an argument for fulfilment and joy through being in touch with ourselves and others. The author believes doing this will not only pull us towards self-knowledge but also enrich those we meet along the way. THINGS I LOVE The author's background as a psychologist lends this work much credibility. The examples offered in the book do a good job of buttressing the author's points on the importance of solitude, the value of starting small, and how to take joy in the smallest of things. The life problems the author brings up in this book are tangible, and the solutions she proffers aren't of a quick-fix variety. DISLIKES This is not an easy book to read, requiring focus and freshness of mind. Also...
